The 2015 edition of Scratch League is nearing its conclusion. Silver Lakes Country Club will host the final round of the Scratch League on Sunday 28 June.

The Scratch League is divided into two divisions, but both divisions compete at the same venue. Leading the A division is Wingate Park CC with Zwartkop CC hot on their heels. Wingate will face a stern test of resolve in facing Irene CC and defending champions Akasia CC in the final this Sunday.

Irene CC has had a mixed season with a half, a win and a loss, but the team has found recent form with a 6-2 win over Pretoria GC during the last round. Akasia CC on the other hand has not been able to consistently reproduce the form they showed last year with two defeats and a single win under the belt for the season. Wingate Park CC will however contest the last round with soaring confidence levels after easily beating all the teams they have faced thus far.

In the B division we could not have scripted a better final round. The three leading teams are all tied up on 6 points each with a solitary game separating the three teams. The final will see Waterkloof GC, Silver Lakes CC and Pretoria CC compete against one another for promotion to the A division. Bronkhorstspruit GC and Blue Valley CC will compete to avoid the dreaded wooden spoon.

The action kicks off at 07h00 on Silver Lakes CC and spectators are invited to attend. Looking forward to a great day of golf.
