Gauteng North entered three teams to compete in this year’s International Teams Championship held at Maccauvlei Golf Club held in November.
We are very proud of the following four players for winning this year’s tournament: Russell Franz, Teaghen Gauche, Hendrikus Stoop and Philip Kruse. Congratulations to these players for their great performance!
The GNGU Inter-Club took place at Wingate Park CC on the 10th of November with most of our affiliated clubs competing.
Congratulations to Pretoria Golf Club for winning on a count out with a score of 87. Wingate Park CC finished second with a score of 87 as well. The GN Executive team finished in 3rd place with 86.

Congratulations to Marinda Pretorius from Akasia CC for winning the 2013 Sanlam Cancer Challenge held at Sun City in October. Vanessa Gouws, also from Akasia CC won 3rd place in the B-division. Well done!

Our annual SILVER SALVER tournament took place on Sunday, 27 October at the Irene Country Club, home of the Gauteng North Golf Union. Congratulations to our winner, Tristen Strydom with his winning score of 66,70 (136).

The Colour Presentation for our Mid-Amateur Inter Provincial Team was held at the Union’s Offices on Tuesday the 9th of October. They will be travelling with their team manager Eddie Roux to represent us in the B-division of the IPT to be held at the Durban Country Club from 14-18 October.
