The GNGU Closed was played at Pretoria Golf Club on Sunday 14 May 2023. The golfers was met with rainy weather but once the sun came out the scoring improved. Jacques van Tonder from Waterkloof Golf Club claimed the title on a score of 140, 4 under par.

The team made up of Leon Scheepers, Phillip Bierman, Gerhard Strydom and William Skinner, managed by Petrus Pieterse, were unbeaten at this year’s Super Senior Inter Provincial tournament.
The tournament was held at
San Lameer and the team showed their true determination and passion by remaining undefeated.

We would like to wish the team all the best with their preparations for the tournament.

After a lot of rain the past 2 weeks, the GNGU Mid Amateur Open was held in wet conditions at Centurion Country Club.  The Club did a fantastic job in getting the course into a playable condition, albeit a Par 68 course.
The fight at the top of the leaderboard was tight, with Louis Moolman and Jacques van Tonder tied at the top after 18 holes.  Round 2 proved their fight as they ended 36 holes tied on -9 for the tournament.  Louis Moolman continued his form after winning the CGGU Open in January and managed to win on the 1st playoff hole.
