Louis Moolman from Silver Lakes however had other plans with the outcome and carded a fantastic 66, 6 under par to claim the 2021 title on a score of 141, 3 under par.

A successful SA Amateur for Gauteng North players

Since tournament golf resumed,
Christiaan Maas has finished in the top 10 at every National Ranking tournament, with three 1st place finishes in 7 events.   Trophy winner of the GNGU Silver Salver and GNGU Open, as well as the winner of the Gauteng North All Amateur Series, he was always going to be a favourite this week at the SA Amateur.  The young Pretoria Country Club golfer managed to defeat the Qualifying tournament winner, Jack Dyer, in the 36 Hole final and is now the holder of the most prestigious trophy in SA Amateur Golf.  Congratulations Christiaan!
