Oliver Goldhill storms to Silver Salver victory

It was a fantastic 3 days at Irene Country Club for the 2024 GNGU Silver Salver.
The course was in great condition but the competition fierce. After acing the 16th on his 7th hole of the tournament, Oliver Goldhill wasn’t relying on luck to set the pace. The North West golfer shot rounds of 68, 67 and 65 (with the final round being cancelled due to lightning), to win the tournament on -16, a resounding 9 shots ahead of nearest competitors Hanro Kriel and Logan Leisher.

Thank you to Irene Country Club, members, committee and management for your hospitality and giving up the course for the weekend. For full results CLICK HERE

Jordan Rothman crowned 2024 GN Womens Open Champion

The 2024 Womens Open was held at Silver Lakes Golf Estate. There was a delayed start on the Sunday due to frost, and a very windy afternoon, but with the course in exceptional condition the players fought hard and showed some true grit which lead up to an exciting final 18. In extremely windy and cold conditions, there was some exciting golf. Jordan Rothman held her nerve and birdied the last hole to win the event 1 shot ahead of Centurion’s Zane Kleynhans. Congratulation to The Els Club at Copperleaf’s Carissa Davids who lifted the B Division trophy.
