PLAYER REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Gauteng North Golf Union has a reimbursement policy in place to assist with the development of players in the Union. The aim of the policy is to assist players with covering some expenses related to playing in National Ranking tournaments.
Reimbursements are calculated based on the performance achieved by players in their respective division in a National Ranking tournament and number of positions paid out is dependent on the number of participants in that division.
This policy is only applicable to players affiliated to, and handicapped at Gauteng North Golf Union Affiliated clubs. Reimbursements are only applicable to National Ranking Tournaments. Should a player travel to more than one tournament on any of the away events, only one event will qualify as an away event.
As of 1 January 2023, players will only receive 80% of the applicable reimbursement amount. The additional 20% balance will be paid to those players who have been selected and are available, to represent Gauteng North Golf Union, in the respective Inter Provincial teams at the following IPT.*
Please note the balance of the 20% will only be for tournaments that count towards the respective IPT GNGU ranking. For teams that are selected that do not have a GNGU ranking (ie. Premier IPT, only tournaments that count towards the National Open rankings will count).
All claims must be submitted to the GNGU Office within 8 weeks after completion of the tournament. Claims must be submitted by using the prescribed form.
The policy has been revised and the new schedule is effective for tournaments from 1 January 2023.
-Date published – 1 December 2022
* Clarification – the players selected for the IPT will receive the balance of their own 20% of the reimbursements they have claimed.
